We’re hosts at heart.

At Guest House, we bridge the gap between hospitality, operations, and revenue. Now entering our fifth season of Airbnb hosting, we have welcomed hundreds of repeat guests to the Niagara region. Our approach is rooted in Operational Excellence and Curation—we don’t just manage properties; we maximize their potential. By focusing on a luxury portfolio, I ensure every listing meets a 5-star standard that keeps guests coming back year after year.

The Visionary Behind the Stay

I’m Lauren Harasty—a Niagara native, luxury short-term rental strategist, and the founder of Guest House.

Entering our fifth season, Guest House has evolved from a passion project into a premier management and consulting practice. With over 600 successful stays across 25+ properties, my mission has always been clear: to bridge the gap between offering guests an exceptional place to vacation, and giving owners the peace of mind that their home is well cared for. I don’t just manage properties; I curate experiences that keep guests returning year after year.

Professional Roots, Local Expertise

My journey in hospitality came full circle in an unexpected way. After graduating from Queen’s University, I spent my twenties in Toronto building a career in high-stakes retail management. There, I honed the operational discipline and leadership skills required to maintain exceptional standards at scale.

When I returned to my roots in Niagara Falls during the pandemic, I noticed a distinct gap in the local market, specifically at Sherkston Shores. Property owners needed more than just a "cleaner"—they needed a partner who understood dynamic pricing, luxury curation, and 5-star guest communication. I launched Guest House in December 2021 to provide exactly that.

Setting the Standard for 2026

I believe the future of short-term rentals lies in professionalism and transparency. That’s why I am currently expanding our capabilities by pursuing TICO certification. This evolution is a strategic move to offer exclusive direct booking experiences, giving our owners and guests more security, flexibility, and a truly premium alternative to traditional platforms.

The Lifestyle Behind the Brand

When I’m not deep in property operations or scouting the next luxury listing for our portfolio, you’ll find me leaning into the Niagara lifestyle I love so much. I’m a firm believer in the "fun job" philosophy—whether I’m diving into a fantasy novel, exploring the region’s latest cafe, or obsessing over interior design trends for a new project.

I live in Niagara Falls with my partner, Brad, and our cat, Jeff, and rescue dog, Dottie. My love for hosting extends far beyond the business; I am passionate about creating memorable moments in every aspect of life—and I’m just getting started.

Allesandra Szczepaniak

Executive Admin Assistant
Guest Experience Manager/Co-Host

Hey, I’m Allesandra, but most people just call me Al. I’m the Executive Admin Assistant and currently acting as the Guest Experience Manager/Co-Host at Guest House. It is my responsibility to ensure our Guests and Property Owners have the most optimal experience from an operational and management standpoint. We're hosts with heart, and I'm here to ensure that shines through in everything we do. I am a Niagara Falls native, and admittedly, I could not wait to leave after I completed my four years in high school. After a longer duration away, I'm thrilled to be spending time here again – The Niagara Region is a vibrant and diverse place with so much to offer!

With a background in Music Business Management from Durham College and more recently Medical Office Administration from Niagara College, I have been able to craft my skill as a high level administrative professional. My focus and expertise is in operational efficiency and innovation- not only for the client but from a business perspective as well. I’ve been lucky to work in industries where customer service is key, from retail management to pharma/biotech coordination, and even in-person medical services. Implementing that service focus has been incredibly rewarding.

I am definitely the creative type and I love being able to implement this into everything I do. I am a music culture hub of information, I love crafting (mainly paper and floral), and I look forward to  creating art from the most unusual items. When I’m not working with Guest House you can find me catching up on my favourite music podcasts, actively procuring framed art to update the gallery walls in my home, hanging out with my favourite people or attending a live music or comedy gig.
